What Matters Most

Getting older has some distinct benefits, namely the wisdom and discernment that you gain. You learn (finally) what really matters most. Things you should hold on to and things you should definitely let go! Here are three things I've learned that matter most:
1. Love-  Love manifests itself in many ways with many people throughout our lifetime. It is the one thing that ALL humans need to thrive.  So when you find it, cherish it and give all the love you can in return.
2. Family- Whether by blood or a family that you create yourself with friends, that human connection is essential to our well being. Having an unconditional support system gives us a sense of belonging in a world so vast, we have OUR people and our safe place to land.
3. Health- When you're younger you take your health for granted, but as you get older you realize the saying "health is wealth" is so very true. When you take care of your body, it will take care of you. As we age, it's important that we do whatever we can to stay strong, and healthy so that we can live independently and vibrantly.
What is something that matters most to you?

"At 50, I began to know who I was. It was like waking up to myself."
